Step1 – Understand podcast/podcasting :
A podcast is basically an audio file that is stored on the Internet that people can download to their computers , IPODS and MP3 players and listen to whenever and wherever they want to. Think of a podcast as a way to deliver any audio content to a large audience worldwide.

Step 2 – Podcast recording :
You have to get your message recorded using a mic. It is called podcast recording.You can either use your own voice or use a software like Jvw Podcast creator to use text to voice conversion for your podcasts. You can use articles, ebooks, lyrics, poems, white papers, tutorials, press releases, emails, business letters and more.

Step 3 – Create RSS feed for podcast :
You can create a simple Rss feed for your podcast with Enclosure url using a text editing software or use a podcast recording software. Make sure you make the feed itunes compatible. A simple Enclosure tag for podcast would look like this :

Step 4 – Validate your podcast
After you create a podcast , it is necessary that you validate your podcast feed to make sure there are no errors in it and that it is Rss specific and itunes compatible. You can use feedvalidator.org to check out rss feeds or search for more options on Google : http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=podcast+validator&meta= for Podcast validators.

Step 5- Submit your podcast
Make sure you popularize your podcast. Submit your podcast to directories and podcasting specific websites after you have created and validated the feeds. You can search for them at google : http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=submit+podcast&meta=

Best way to search engine promotion is to writing fresh content.

So the question is where do you get new and fresh content regularly to be able to attract the search engine spiders and improve your website ranking the easiest way.

The answer is simple – Just check your HARD DRIVE !

Sounds stupid ?

I will show you ways that can prove my point.

To put weight on my point i did a search on http://www.google.com to check the number of words typed by a computer user at an average.

The number was BIG !

So where does all this typing go to ?

Dont ask me – YOU think about it !

Here is my advice. Just keep note of what all typing you are doing on your computer throughout the day, the advice you are giving away to people. I recently found out that much of free advice i am giving away to people can be used as content for my own site or BLOG. I started extracting my own advice (yes my own typed text) from :

  • Various Forums i visited.
  • Blog comments i used to make.
  • My chat logs from Yahoo and MSN messenger.
  • My sent items folder.
  • Chat room messages I visited (Web design channel, windows talk, etc).You can keep logs of messages for your instant messenger by opting for the always save chat messages options in Yahoo and MSN messenger.

    Always keep this in mind – Always give advice or type something which is some WORTH !

    Search engine optimization simple basics

    While Search engine optimization training a lot of people have been asking me “how do i get started with the Search engine optimization” OR “how do i do my website promotion with this fast paced internet world where you have new promotion techniques coming up daily like Rss , Blog , Podcast etc.

    Do i need blogs for my site ?
    What do i do with RSS?

    And i tell them – “Well did you go through Step 1 ?

    Yes, before the advance seo or website promotion you need to go through STEP 1 – Which is the basics of Search engine optimization.

    Check your website’s html thoroughly, There are many things you need to check with your website.

    It is important that you do a proper website analysis of your pages :

    • Is the HTML code properly formatted ?
    • HTML tags properly closed and html guidelines followed ?
    • Did you give proper attention to the title and meta tags ?
    • Is there any broken link / dead link in your webpage ?
    • Are you following the CSS and Javascript guidelines properly ?
    • Is the junk in your webpage taken care of and the code kept clean ?

    So it is important – If you did not do the STEP 1 properly , the efforts of STEP 2 will not give you all the benefits ?!

    Bmw website got banned

    BMW got banned for Blackhat SEO – This topic is all over the internet blogs and forums.

    The site in question is Bmw.de and NOT Bmw.com.

    What can you learn from this.

    Plenty of things :

    1.It’s for everyone : Google is not just punishing the small sites or blogs but even the biggies like BMW(they had a pagerank of 7). They have made things clear. If you break the webmaster guidelines – YOU WILL BE PUNISHED – No matter what ! – Does not matter who or what you are. Google just wants to keep building a better search engine and anyone who is breaking their guidelines will be punished.

    2.What not to do : Do not use methods of doorway pages/cloaking , Javascript redirects and all those things that are against the google webmaster guidelines.

    3.Do not give full control to a seo company : If your site is being maintained by a webmaster or a third party seo company, make sure you do not give full control or atleast make sure that proper techniques/tactics are being followed and that no guideline is broken or illegal spamming techniques used (Read article “stay away from Fake seo companies”).

    Resell rights software

    Many dot com companies were already providing softwares with resell rights but ever since the source code blowout hit the market, every software reseller has jumped into the bandwagon of selling master resell rights products.

    Below are a few things you should check before opting for a Resell right software package.

    • Who was the original creator of the package. Are you buying from the creator of the package or from third party.
    • How long the website has been in the business of resell software.
    • What guarantee is available with the purchase.
    • What kind of rights you are getting. You can ask a few questions :
      1. Do you have the rights to give away the software/solution free of cost?
      2. Do you have the rights to resell it in a bundled package ?
      3. Can it be offered as a free bonus ?
      4. Do you have the rights to offer resell rights(pass on the rights) to the buyer after you have purchased from the seller.
    • Do you get source code or the rebranded version.
    • If you get the source code then you must know which language the solution is written in : Php/Vb/VC++/Dot net.

    The hottest products for resell rights today are SEO products and internet applications. You can make a lot of money with resell rights of these softwares and scripts but you have to keep the above points in mind.

    MAKE MONEY ON THE INTERNET – 2 WAYS

    There has always been a question going around in the forums from newbies asking as to how one can make quick money on the internet in a easy way or how can one make millions on the internet like the gurus.

    Two of the answers which have got into me ever since i had read them were from two very different people both into internet marketing but with completely different styles.

    According to the first if you wish to make lots of money on the internet fast then you will have to earn $1 first. That’s correct – His theory was to break things up and know your target. If you do not know how much you wish to earn then how will you know if you had success or failure ?. If you wish to make $360 in a single year then you will have to make $30 every month and to make $30 every month you will have to make $1 every day. The same theory stands true for $36000.

    According to the second guru you can make lot of money on the internet not by selling more of quantity but by selling more in terms of value:

    1.Let’s say if you wish to make $1000 and you were selling a $5.00 product. How many sales will you have to make ?
    200 sales ?
    Good Maths !

    2.Now lets say if you had to make the same amount of money and you were selling a product worth $250.00. How many sales will you have to make now ?
    ONLY 4.
    And you will only have to attend to the queries of 4 customers which would be much better than attending to problems and questions of 200 customers.
    As simple as that !

    Whichever way you’re doing it , it is important to ask yourself few questions anytime :

    1. How much money you want to make.
    2. What are you selling.
    3. To whom are you selling.

    Rss stands for really simple syndication. As the name suggests it is really simple and it is the way of syndicating. Nowadays everyone is using Rss to their benefit.
