Find below the communication between me and tata indicom people.

My review is that the product photon plus is nice but the company and their service SUCKS…

Dear Sir ,
Greetings from Tata Indicom!
With reference to the below mail we would like to inform you that we have not received any Cancellation request from your end , also when we check the Bills of May & June month there is a usage and the balance amount is very much payable, same is already confirmed to you earlier while closing the complaint number 275144227.
There is a balance outstanding amount of 1638 /- in the account , we can adjust the amount of 239 /- and rest 1399 is payable , Request you to clear the Balance amount and confirm so that we can carry out the adjustment activity from our end
Hope the above clarifiesWarm Regards,
_____________________________This is after my talk with Komal kulkarni.I am pasting below the email which I had sent on 5th August to internet.service@tatatel.co.in<internet.service@tatatel.co.in>;barkha.asnani@tatatel.co.inbarkha.asnani@tatatel.co.in; :—
I had used tata photon+ earlier and I had some problems with you people which is why I closed the account. Problem :

I had sent u a request to change the plan which allows me to use more than 5gb and not get charged more only the speed of the connection would get slow. This request was not taken by you and hence I had to pay extra. While making the payment I had informed you that I will no longer require your product or service.

I settled the amount and I dont know why you people are still generating and sending me new invoices. I have used 0 mb after my final payment. You may continue generating new invoices and keep sending me emails but I am not going to pay you a single amount.

It feels like u have cheated me once and u continue to make a fool of me. What kinda organization are you running ?

If I continue to get calls and emails from you then I am sending my complaint to consumer forums and writing about this all over my blogs.

If you are trying to cheat me then pls stop it and if you are dumb enough to realize a customer has left you then please open your eyes and check your data I have not freaking plugged in your device ever since I made the settlement payment. I have been using reliance netconnect for months now.

I am saving this email because I have a feeling this might not reach you like my service requests and complains thru emails and feedback forms have not reached you or gone unnoticed.

Regards,
my registered email : ashish@jvw.in
my number with you people : 9867676363
9223984109 is what my number used to be…
—

I also received an email on 6th august which says
Your complaint 275144227 has been successfully resolved and closed by us.

To help us serve you better, please tell us about your satisfaction with the resolution provided on your complaint,

If you are SATISFIED, please click on the link below to respond;

I dont know what complaint number this is and what you have resolved.

Is there any person in your organization who can tell me what is going on? If you have resolved then issue then why do you still keep calling me and asking me for payment (for the service I am not even using).

I did get a call from one of your people asking me to pay the bill or you people will keep calling me daily or keep visiting me.

This is like mental harassment you know ?

I had talked to Nodal officer on 9225525252 date 24th May saying fine if this is what you want I am ready to pay the amount but I dont want to use your product or service any longer and she had acknowledged it on phone. I dont understand how you can still generate the bill ?

When I had initially made the request to change my plan thru form which was not received by you , you people told me that requests are taken on phone and when I did the whole complaint for that and said you need to close my account then now you are coming up to me and telling me you are supposed to MAKE A REQUEST ? what the hell is this ?

This is really frustrating for me. Even if you just resolve this issue now you have still made me go thru lot of agony. My work is suffering.

I just toked again to nodal officer RIGHT NOW one of the team members of Shugna shetty told me please let me know your complaint and then if she feels right then she will let me talk to her. After I told her my story she would not let me talk to her. I asked her a few times if it is possible anyhow for me to talk to her and she said NO.

I am giving you 48 hrs after this I will send my complaint to consumer forums and post it on blogs and where I feel like.

—

update 1 : the customer care person that told me she will arrange a talk with ms shetty later said she isnt even the nodal officer for Mumbai.

update 2 : if some1 wants confirmation i had asked them to close my account they can talk to ms shetty with whom i talked to on 24th may for abt 20-30 mins i guess. if someone wants to see email which i fwded them asking them to close my account that i can fwd as well. it said “i no longer wish to use your services”.

update 3 : i have forwarded this email to tata people and my next step would be to send to consumer forums and other blogs.

update 4 : a few days after i made this entry i got help from Mahesh C Utge - Tata Teleservices Limited, which approved the waiver of total amount pending.

Still keep getting daily emails from TataIndicom@tatatel.co.in auto generated email saying that the amount is pending…

STRANGE Huh !

Update 5 : November 16th 2011 – Recived a letter from Advocate high court saying that if i dont pay the dues amounting to 1738 by OCT 31 2011 then they will initiate appropriate legal proceedings both civil and or criminal.

It cant get more ridiculous than this. 1st they tellme that i do not need to pay the amount and months later they want to go ahead with legal proceedings ?

WOW

There has been a lot of comparision between facebook and google plus or the like button and +1 button.

One good difference i see is that Google is giving more flexibility and isnt guarding its kingdom like facebook is.

What if you wish to take a backup of your friends or photos on facebook ? I am sorry but there is no facility provided by facebook at this moment where you can click on a button and get what you want. Checkout the screenshot below for google plus :

You CAN take a backup of your contacts and photos. Now that is cool !

+1 is live on big G.

Yes i already know that google has launched +1 button few days back but this is the first time i am seeing them on search engine result pages. This is a great feature which could compete with Facebook likes in the future.

Google should be smart enough to handle the +1 hits as I am sure people are going to buy +1 hits like they went and bought facebook fans/likes and twitter followers.

Here is a screenshot below showing +1 button live on Google.com (click to enlarge).

For those who want to see a demo of this button in action and what it does, just goto Google.com and see the + 1 button on the serps.

Also note this point below which is mentioned by Google :

“Publishers may not direct users to click the +1 Button for purposes of misleading users. Publishers should not promote prizes, monies, or monetary equivalents in exchange for +1 Button clicks”

If you wish to add the +1 button to your site then use the code below :

<script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js”></script>

(The above code goes in the head section of your web page)

<g:plusone size=”small” href=”http://www.yourWebdomainURLhere.com”></g:plusone>

(Place the above code on the web page where you would like to add the +1 icon)

Regards,

It is true, not all logo designers are created equal. And, what is even more true, it doesn’t matter how many they have done or how many years in the saddle they have. The only thing that counts is talent or an eye for design.

When you are looking for custom logo designs then start with the portfolio of the logo designer. Make sure that their style and what you are looking for match. Don’t expect a logo designer who does mostly abstract logos to draw you a cartoon character and vice a versa. Everyone has a different style, and what you are looking for is a style that you like.

Don’t be fooled when someone says they are not using clip art. That is a red flag. There is a right and a wrong way to use clip art. You want a logo designer to use it the right way. If they aren’t using clip art, chances are you are going too get something very amateurish looking. After all, if they aren’t using clip art and were good illustrators, then they would be illustrators, NOT logo designers. Too different professiotions, don’t confess the two.

It is absolutely OK for a logo designer to use clip art. What a professional designer will do is take elements of the clip art and manipulate it for their own purpose. Many great designs have been done this way.

Don’t be fooled into paying for the amount of colors use on your logo. It takes NO additional time to design with one color or unlimited colors. Once again, that is a sign of an amateur so stay clear.

Make sure you get vector files so you can have your logo professionally printed. Most common formats for this is EPS or Postcript. Most designers will use Adobe Illustrator. If a designer only offers JPEG, again stay clear except if your only use is for the web.

You will also want to work with someone who is responsive, easy to work with and will give you as many revisions as you need. Check their testimonials. This is the best way for you to get a feel for how they work.

Hope that helps!

Regards,

In general, advertisers are looking most for three qualities that we will detail in a moment. Regardless or whether your eBiz possesses one, all, or none of these qualities, you will always be able to sell advertising on your site in one way or another. However, the terms will vary dramatically.

Best Case Scenario (CPM) - If your eBiz has all three qualities, you will be able to charge top dollar rates on a CPM basis. CPM stands for cost per thousand. The thousand refers to a thousand “impressions.” An impression is how many times an ad is displayed in front of a visitor’s eyes. This is also referred to as “page views.” A ballpark for top CPM rates is $15-$50 depending on the specific characteristics of your site’s general audience.

Numbers Breakdown – So if you have an eBiz site that attracts 100,000 visitors per month and the average visitor visits 10 pages on your web site, you would have 1,000,000 impressions per month. That is 1,000 x 1,000. And since CPM refers to “1000 visitors,” that is 1000 x your CPM rate (let’s say $25) – So your monthly ad revenues would be $25,000. Not bad for a month’s work! But remember this is for sites that advertisers highly value.

More Common Scenario (Pay-Per-Click) - Other sites that do not possess all three of the desired qualities will either earn a lesser CPM rate or will have to earn money on a “pay-per-click” basis. This means that you will only be paid whenever an ad that is displayed on your site is actually clicked on. Pay-per-click rates generally vary from around 2 cents to 25 cents per click. And typical click-thru rates range from .2%(1/5 of 1%) to 4% of impressions. So if you receive 15 cents per click and 2% of your visitors click on each ad, you will receive the equivalent of $3 CPM. This will generally result in far less money than CPM but it is the most common form of advertising on small eBiz sites.

THREE IMPORTANT QUALITIES – The three qualities of an eBiz that we mentioned earlier, which are most in demand by advertisers, are:

High Traffic Volume – Advertisers much prefer to purchase ad space on web sites that deliver a high volume of traffic. The main reason for this is a practical one. If your site only gets 1000 page views per months, even with a high CPM rate of $25, you would only be getting paid $25/month. Yet, someone from the advertiser’s end would still have to oversee your account, checks would have to be cut, reviews of your integration of the ad would have to be done, etc. The man-hours spent on your small account could never be justified.

The top-of-the-line ad brokers (middlemen between the advertisers and you) usually require you to be receiving over 100,000 page views per month before they will sell your ad space on a decent CPM basis. The top ad broker, DoubleClick, won’t even consider you unless you have a minimum of 1,000,000 page views per month.

Focused Audience – Advertisers love to find certain segmented audiences that would be particularly receptive to the service or product that the advertiser sells. If your eBiz attracts a random audience with no particular demographic characteristics in common nor any special audience interests in common, you will have a harder time attaining top dollar ad revenue. On the other hand, if your eBiz attracts primarily a certain age group and/or gender, or sports enthusiasts, piano players, business travelers, etc., you will be very attractive to certain advertisers who want to be seen by your audience.

Lucrative Market Category – A focused audience is good but if your site is focused on people who want to live on Mars, there aren’t many companies in the Martian real estate business who want to get their message across to your visitors.

Lucrative audience categories always include rich people. If your site serves a high-class clientele, you may have to beat potential advertisers off with a stick. Other lucrative markets include travelers, real estate, autos, businesspeople, likely shoppers in any number of retail categories, etc. Also, audiences in age groups somewhere between 15 and 34 are usually more desirable as advertisers often want to target audiences who they believe are not yet set in their spending ways. These are all generalizations as many various focused audiences can find a good advertiser match.

If you have not got 1 then it is time you go get a .co NOW !

I found out Google does not really treate it as a country tld. It treats .co as a global domain just like .com or .info

There have been talks on forum threads and blogs regarding what Google actually thinks of a .co domain name. Many have argued and said they would wait until until an official confirmation is given out by Google.

Why wait ?

I have the proof here. Checkout the image below. I searched for the term likey and what do i find on rank 1 ?

Likey.co

I know it is not a competitive term or anything but still. Google chose .com over .co

Checkout screenshots for both the sites below. Likey.com even has a PR2.

Out of all the registrars i think namecheap is giving out the .co at the lowest price. You can try godaddy if you have a coupon otherwise click below to go and get a .co domain now !!!
